Fuente Sungrown DC. Def. on a fuente kick lately. Didn't like them when I first started smoking, but now have found a few vitolas that are worth all of the accolades. This is the fuente I had been waiting to try!

Alec Bradley- Prensado Toro. Totally disappointing. Mostly wood with a bit of anise when it had any flavor at all. Terrible burn. The first ash fell at about 1/2 an inch and left a deep concave as a tribute to the construction. The final third was the most pleasurable and by that I mean tolerable. The 92 it rated would be laughable if these sticks were priced more reasonably but as is, more of a crying shame.

I just got around to trying Alec Bradley in the last 6 months (mostly Tempus) and I have to agree. These aren't cheap sticks and they never seem to burn right. Usually a fair amount of stems in the filler, too. Did these used to be better or something? And are they REALLY made at Raices Cubana factory in Honduras? The Illusiones that come out of there are fantastic - do they bring in 2nd string torcedores for the AB stuff?

El Rico Habano Corona Suprema - Outstanding stick blended by E P Carrillo with a rich and bold flavor profile but mid powered achieving a great balance. This cigar is now a main stay in my humidor.

Had a Montecristo Edmundo tonight with a couple of years on it. Burned great.

Gurkha Master Select Perfecto #1. These are the sticks that got me smoking in the first place and I hadn't had one since 06 or so. They're still every bit as good as I remember them (are my current favorite right now), and are now available for cheap, cheap, cheap. Blows most of the rest of the overpriced (overtaxed) stuff out of the water.

Almost a month between posts overall. I had a Headley Grange earlier. Awesome cigar.

601 Green Label Robusto. FULL bodied and great flavors of dark chocolate, coffee bean, and nutmeg/spice. Not as complex as I usually like, but a nice stick.

Alec Bradley Family Blend. Horrible burn. Par for the course with AB cigars anymore. Avoid!

Torano Silver Exodus torpedo. GodAWFUL!!!   Have smoked 3 out of a 5 pack and have had the same problem - sour, overly dry, crappy flavors from start to end that often reminded me of limburger cheese. I remember liking these back when I started smoking, but either my tastes have dramatically changed, or the quality of the tobacco is going down the crapper.

I know a lot of people like these, so if you're into them, I have 2 torpedos left (kept at 70 deg./67% RH consistently) that I'd be willing to trade for ANY other handrolled smoke. Seriously, folks - if no one wants these, they'll probably still be aging away in 3 years time.
