Enjoyed seeing everyone during the myriad of events that were going on this week around town. There were tons of cigars smoked, even more lies told, and fun times all around. Thanks for getting out and representing the club in such a fine way!

With everything going on this past week, there have been some upcoming events that kind of slipped under the radar. Tom should be adding a bunch to the calendar soon but as a heads-up, here are a few I’ve run across for the next week or so:

10/3/08 – CAO Event at Olde World Leaf & Ale
10/4/08 – Cookout at Lawmen & Outlaw Cigars
10/7/08 – Torano event at Woody’s Smokes & Brews
10/9/08 – CAO event at Smoke & Ale
10/14/08 – CAO Rock N Rolled Tour (w/ Jon Huber) at Woody’s Smokes & Brews

There are a couple more that I’ve heard some talk about but I don’t have any actual details.

I’m currently editing the two (yes TWO) podcasts that we recorded this week and should have them uploaded soon. As a bit of a teaser for those of you who haven’t heard, Tom and I got to sit down with Cano and Tim Ozgener from CAO for an impromptu interview Saturday night and had a blast talking to them about the company and their cigars.

Sounds like a great week overall, I met a few of the members and had a great time. Since you are one of the 2 founders do you have the power to change Stogies handle to Banana chips? You might ask him for details.

I am still trying to figure out how they host events at Smoke and Ale. I like the shop...the walk in was nice and the ladies there were surely nice, but man its a tight squeeze in there.

What do they do when they have a big crowd? Do they spill out into the parking lot?

Thursday night was one of the largest crowds I've seen at Smoke & Ale and yes, they spilled out into the parking lot. I know a couple of the guys even had a mini tailgate party going on while we were doing the podcast. :)

Lack of space has always been one of the drawbacks there but Eddie has always been extremely accommodating. Once he opens the new shop in Cool Springs he will have more room for events.

Yeah we were hitching on the back of the truck. Redneck in the middle of Nashville.
