I liked the Casa Magna when I first tried one a year ago. Went back for more and they were out. A couple months later I tried a few more and they were sub par. A couple moths ago I found some and they were just as good as the first ones so I bought a box of Robustos and every one of them has been consistent and very good. I still have a few, when I run out I'll buy another box. They have become my favorite cigar. However, I have a cigar buddy who doesn't like them at all. He says they're too strong.

The first batch were good, then they couldn't keep up with demand, and the quality went downhill from there. I still want to try one of the new ones, but can't talk myself into buying one right now.

Just as long as it's only cigars you're safe. If you start slipping into some of his other side tastes.......................

I tend to agree with tom on this as well. The first batch was great, but after that they went extremely downhill. I've smoked one of the new ones and it was decent, but nowhere near as good as the first ones. Also, the new Oscuro (Honduras) is a pretty good stick. I think if you let them sit for about 6 months to a year they'd be damn near perfect. One of my favorite petite coronas for a long while was the Casa Magna Pikito. These never waivered from batch to batch. They are, IMO, one of the best little petite coronas on the market. I just burned myself out on them.

In that case, I agree with Tom, too, and the beanie looks totally gangsta... (shameless suck up ended)...

I just finished smoking the Casa Magna Oscuro and enjoyed the heck out of it. It's full-bodied and got a really good flavor. I think I like it better than the original (Colorado) version! Anybody else had a chance to get their mitts on these yet?

I want to try the Oscuro. Eddie has some, but I just can't seem to bring myself to try one. I will have to break down and just grab one. Hopefully, it won't let me down.

I have some. I smoked one and didn't like it as much as the Colorado. But I need to smoke another one to be sure. You know how that goes....

I tried the oscuro, but wasnt crazy about it.

I plan to try another soon with, uhm, less beverage so i can make a fairer assessment.

I have to say I agree with the colorado robusto being hit or miss lately, I havent had any really bad ones, just not quite up to the standard that had been set.

I really like the Extrordinario's, Smoke & Ale has a bunch.

IMHO it is milder medium, smoother smoke than the Robusto so don't expect it to be as strong... Every Extraordinario I've had has been consistently good, but they are all from the same bundle so far.

Since I posted this, I got to try the oscuro. I didn't care for it at all. I smoked it about 2/3rds, so I gave it some time, but it just never did it for me. I would imagine that this will be my last Casa Magna.
