I must say that this is becoming on of my "go to" favorites. I can't really say that any one thing about this cigar is really all that outstanding, but it has always been a consistent, balanced, and enjoyable smoke every time. The price here in Ohio is $4.45 a stick, and I can afford to stock quite a few away. It always comes through with good flavor, and a consistent burn. I am always looking for a great low cost stick, and this one is always a good one. I have picked up a few higher priced ones like the Ashton VSG, Padron 1926, and even a Monte Cristo corona from the "island that shall not be mentioned." But night after night, I find myself coming back to this one, the Partagas Black, and my newest fav, the Hoyo de Tradicion corona. Call me cheap if you want. I may not know art, but I know what I like!

I tried one of these and hated it. Maybe I just got a bad stick, because Partagas Black and the Hoya de tradicion are also favs of mine.

I'm a big Perdomo fan, but always felt like the Lot 23 never lived up to the rest of the line and doesn't do it for me. Same thing for the Patriarch. There are many other better Perdomo's IMO.

Habano Maduro - rocks - my favorite
Anything in the La Tradicion line - now referred to as Reserve 10 year anniversary line. I especially like the Champagne which is the Connecticut wrapper.
The Perdomo squared maduro is very good as well.

Don't let a bad Lot 23 experience turn you away from some other great Perdomo offerings.

I am also a Perdomo fan for the most part but the Lot 23 Maduro I tried was awful from start to finish. I like the 10th anniversary Maduro & Criollo a lot (not tried the champagne) and am also fond of the Habanos both Maduro & Corojo. I should try 1 more Lot 23 Maduro just to verify I didn,t buy a bad stick.

I hope you do. Maybe you should let one simmer in the humi for a few days. If it was bad from start to finish, then you probably got a bad stick. I've never had one, but I'm sure it is possible. Was it harsh like it had dried out?

Not so much harsh but acrid. Constant burn issues and a very tight draw also.
