Me and Kev T are off to Memphis to pick up a car on Saturday, I think my lovely wife may go as well, and we are looking for a cigar shop/lounge/bar.

Brothers I need help.

A nice place to check out would be great and a nice place to check out and have a beer or two, we may stay overnight in Memphis, would be what we will need.

Thanks for the advice that I'm sure is forth coming.

Have you tried the mighty google? :)

They have a Tinder Box there and a few others when I searched, but I have not been to any of them to refer you to one. Sorry.

Yep.
I've cast the internet and have come up with a few shops.

I don't mind heading in blind and I'll be happy to post reviews of any shops that we make it to in Memphis.

You guys are great.

Adam has rushed me and Kev's name tags so we will sport the NCC look in Memphis.

Cigars will be smoked,,,
Ribs will be eat,,,
Drinks will be drank,,,
And Ducks will be viewed.

Oh yeah,,, and Kev will be driving back his Hot New G8-GPX.
(I'm guessing he will make it home before I do.)

I have been staying in Memphis, pickings are slim here, and that disappoints me...

they won't let me join the club...

the Tobacco Corner is where I have smoked the most...

pretty good group of guys, older, but that is fine.

need a place with cigars and beer, Fox and Hound is OK, just bring your own smokes, the selection is overpriced and weak to boot...

Good to see you back on Ski. How's everything in the land of the lost?

Memphis was great.

We, me, Kevin and my wife- Lauren, headed down and made it to pick up Kevin's new car. At that point the lovely wife headed of to find all of the knitting shops I had programmed the GPS with and me and Kev headed off to the first Shop.

We went to Tobacco Corner and took a few pictures, spoke to the owner, checked out the humi, bought some sticks and headed out. Not much room in there to herf.

They sent us to a new Tinderbox in Collierville, southeast of downtown.

We made it there and did the checking out everything. They had some sticks that I had read about but hadn't found so that was pretty cool. It was also nice that they had room to sit and enjoy a nice cigar, which we did.

After we finished it was off to check into our hotel, get cleaned up and catch a trolley downtown to the Peabody and beyond.

We had drinks at the Peabody, too late for ducks, and then down the alley and down the steps to Charlie Vergos for a full slab right there in dry rub heaven.

After dinner we stepped outside and Kev produced an illusione 2/3 culebra, the three thin cigars twisted together, and we each lit up for a very enjoyable smoke.

The rest of the night involved many more cigars, many drinks, many new people and lots of fun.

I'll review the shops and the smokes we had in the right spots but the Memphis trip was great.

I'm looking forward to heading back in a bit warmer weather and making it down to the Memphis Tobacco Bowl; they had to close early when we called. I had been there once 6 years ago but had forgotten the name.

I have pictures if I can figure out how to post for viewing.
Thanks to all the NCC’ers for the info.
